Abortion Syndrome workshop planned for March 23 Atlanta SW Right to Life will offer a workshop on Post Abortion Syndrome Thursday, March 23, from 7-9 p.m. at Crossroads Baptist Church in Ga, Hwy. 154 in Newnan. Reba Bishop, founder of Life Decisions Ministry, will discuss symptoms of Post Abortion Syndrome (PAS) believed to be experienced by 70 percent of women who have an abortion. Bishop also will offer suggestions in ways friends, co-workers, pastors, teachers and counselors can help PAS women find emotional healing. One in four women has at least one abortion in her lifetime, said chapter vice president Lynn Smith, who leads a local PAS Bible study. We probably all know a woman suffering PAS but we don't always know what to say. This workshop will give those attending a better understanding of PAS and offer ways to help suffering women and their families. A mini-drama by the acting ministry of Ramah First Baptist Church in Palmetto will begin the evening. Members will portray some of the joys in life that children lost to abortion never experience. The workshop is free and the public is invited. Light refreshments will be served and resource materials will be available. Atlanta SW Right to Life, which covers Coweta, Fayette and South Fulton counties, is a chapter of Georgia Right to Life, a non-profit, non-sectarian organization. Its purpose it to restore respect and legal protection to all human beings.
