Your
opinions pro, con or otherwise are welcome
here We have over the years published a wide variety of comment in our letters to the editor forum, always with the view that we want to offer a public forum for any and all citizens to have their say on whatever they want to write about. When one letter writer brings up a point, it often draws opposing viewpoints, which we assiduously attempt to print, also. We always try to print both sides of an argument. But both sides have to present their views to have them printed. If you don't write, we can't print what you want to say. A current example is the Confederate flag issue. There's a current heated debate going on in our letters forum among holders of differing viewpoints on the flag. We have printed every representative view, as we try to do on all issues that arise in our letters. It's your forum, your access to freedom of the press. So, please, anybody If you agree or disagree with us or any of our letter writers, send a letter, fax or e-mail. Criticize us, call us names, deplore us but write us. We'll print what you have to say minus illegalities, obscenities and threats. But we'll print your opinion. Because it's your opinion, and you deserve to be heard. That's our job and our responsibility.
