No
draft dodgers in this military family If obfuscation and insult were her goals, I think Mrs. Saul succeeded in her reply to my letter about the Confederate flag. On the subject of historical clarity, she fell a little short. I'm not sure what governor from up North she was talking about, as Abe Lincoln was never a governor. The North doesn't care what Southern history anyone wants to believe because they don't care about the Civil War or Southern paranoia. The gentler, kinder place Mrs Saul talks about can't be the same one where people of color were denied basic human rights, couldn't vote and were often lynched. As for me: my father was on LCT 19, Flotilla 5, USN at 0900 on June 6, 1944, at Omaha Beach. My uncle was on the first firebombing raids over Tokyo. My cousin was wounded in Vietnam and I flew fighters for 20 years. There are no draft dodgers in my family and I will live where I please. Timothy J. Parker Peachtree City
