It's
not your meeting, Mayor First things first, Mayor Lenox: I vote, so I count. And by the way, it's not your meeting, Bob. Regardless of the circumstances of this whole conflict-of-interest lawsuit thing, your not letting Steve Brown speak truly is scary, as Dan Tennant said. Afraid of something? Tired of swatting at this annoying fly who interferes with the implementation of your master plan? I'm waiting for you to take off your shoe and start pounding the podium. The vast majority of us owe a huge debt of gratitude to Steve Brown, Cal Beverly, Dan Tennant, Steve Fodor and many others for doing the job most us don't want, but yet desperately needs to be done. People like Jim Webb, Bob Lenox, and the four yes men (sic) out of the five city council members do things like this because, usually, they can. Most of us don't spend two minutes a week thinking about city government. Just keep my cable working. Are we surprised lawyers and politicians are acting this way? We deserve what we get.
