Mayor
Lenox, you're not Secretary-General of PTC Politburo Mayor Lenox, once again you prompt me to write you a letter concerning the manner in which you perform the duties of your elected office. I previously took issue with you over your statement, If you don't vote, you don't count and I won't listen. Well, now it appears you won't listen to Mr. Steve Brown regardless of whether he voted or not. Within the past week you have made the following statements (not verbatim - but close enough): Nobody knows Peachtree City better then I do. This is my meeting and I will run it the way I want to. I have no doubt that you know this city very well, but I am not so sure you know it better then anyone else. Obviously your ego would not allow yourself to believe otherwise. Mr. Mayor, you are not the Secretary General of the Central Committee of Peachtree City, nor is the City Council the Politburo. It is not your meeting and how dare you as an elected official presume it to be so. I find your conduct during the city council meeting, when you refused to listen to Mr. Steve Brown, a display of arrogance of the highest order. And to quote Kipling, You haf too much ego in your cosmos. I and many of my fellow citizens will be most happy when you leave office. I intend to financially support Mr. Steve Brown in his fight against a frivolous law suit. It is a sad day in our fair city and country when a man cannot speak his mind without fear of retribution from the same law firm that represents the city. If Mr. Brown was truly libelous in his letters, which he was not, then I could understand it. It is pure and simple retribution against an outstanding citizen who truly cares for his community.
