Thanks for the coverage on candidate Keyes

I wish to congratulate you for your article in Friday's Citizen about Alan Keyes. What you did was courageous, considering the virtual news blackout, which has descended upon the Keyes candidacy. Usually, one must rely upon alternative sources, such as the Internet and Conservative magazines, to get anything of substance about this remarkable statesman.

Ambassador Keyes is truly the only real Conservative candidate this year of either of the two major parties. Yet his poll numbers remain low. I believe it is because Dr. Keyes does not fit the liberal leftwing media's paradigm of how an African-American candidate should behave. After all, you can count the prominent blacks who oppose affirmative action on the fingers of one hand. How many of them oppose the World Trade Organization if Clinton and Gore support it? Keyes is also 100% pro-life, which is more than can be said of Bush and McCain.

Please be assured I tend to support publications like yours, which display a rare even-handedness on the issues.
