Productions ready to bamboozle local audiencrs with zany
children's adventure When Offshoot Productions opens its apprentice show, Beanie and the Bamboozling Book Machine, southsiders from Fayette, Coweta and Clayton counties will light up the stage. The cast, which consists of teen and adult apprentices, are nonprofessionals with a love of the theater. Beanie, a fantasy adventure for children, will run March 17 - 26 in the band room at the LaFayette Educational Center (the old Fayette County High School), 205 LaFayette Avenue in Fayetteville. The cast includes Hannah Dolan, Dave Ellis, Jerry Ellis, Chanelle Gray, Mercedes Huston, Alanna James, Barbara James, Tommy Neill, Erin Ramsey, Jonathan Silva, Paige Steadman, Becky Wilson and Carroll Wilson. Apprentices Catherine Barson and Melanie DeVries will take on the technical responsibilities of running sound and stage managing. The show plays Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Tickets are $5 each. In celebration of Generation Arts Month, the opening night performance features a special ticket deal: one child (16 and under) admitted free with each adult ticket purchased.
