Residents can order plants, help school

Locally grown bedding plants and hanging baskets are now available for ordering in time for spring planting through J.C. Booth Middle School in Peachtree City.

Covered in Bloom Inc. Growers on Malone Road in Fayetteville is providing a full selection of begonias, impatiens, salvia and vinca for the school fund-raiser, plus 10-inch hanging baskets overflowing with Boston ferns, geraniums and new guineas.

Gardeners can order through students or on-line at www.coveredinbloom.com, indicating it as a Booth purchase and pickup. Flats of 36 plants are $12.50 and hanging baskets are $15.

Orders can be obtained Saturday, April 8 in front of Card$mart in the Braelinn Village Shopping Center, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will also be a wide variety of plants and baskets for immediate sale.
