Devin King and Nick Bennett each were runners up in their weight division. Bennett, a seventh grader at Fayette Middle School, wrestles in the 120 lb. novice division, while King wrestles in the 80 lb. schoolboy division. The other wrestlers that participated and performed well were Ryan Winter, 100 lb schoolboy, Booth Middle School; Keith Mundy, 140 lb. schoolboy, Rising Starr; Andy and Chris Kragor, 160 lb schoolboy, Rising Starr; Ben Griffin, 112 novice, Fayette Middle; Danny Hartpence, 115 schoolboy, Rising Starr, and Ryan Johnson, who qualified for the state tournament but was injured on a trampoline shortly thereafter. The team is coached by Frank Bennett and Ron Nelson, who are both very proud of the team's accomplishments during the season and at the tournament. |
