This letter is in regard to a newspaper article that was published in The Citizen, Wednesday, Feb. 23, by M. Boylan about the Fayette County varsity soccer game against Eagle's Landing.

It was stated that in double overtime, Nick Walloch scored the winning goal, when in fact it was Alex Crawford.

He is my good friend, and seemed rather upset and disappointed that the information was not correct. This could quite possibly be one of the biggest plays of his high school soccer career, and it behooves me to think that he will not receive credit for it simply because of poor sports reporting.

I believe that the story should be corrected and an apology made to Alex himself. It angers me to think that this mistake was not found in the editing and that such little attention was paid to facts that something like this would occur.

It would be appreciated if the proper actions were taken for these mistakes and corrections made. Thank you.
