The Fayette County Wrestling Club has qualified seven wrestlers for the state meets, which start...

The team, coached by Frank Bennett, features wrestlers 6 to 14.

During regional competition this past weekend, Jake Griffin placed second and Corey Coleman, brother of AAA state champion Christopher Coleman, placed third. They will enter the meet for the younger wrestlers at Parkview High School this weekend.

Nick Bennett, Keith Mundy, Chris and Andy Kraeger and Ryan Johnson will all participate in the state meet at McEachern High School the weekend of March 4. Bennett, Mundy and the Kraegers were all champions, while Johnson placed second.

The state meet accepts the top three wrestlers from each weight class.

As an interesting sidebar, the Kraegers wrestle in the same weight class and shared a co-championship at the regional meet.
