Flat Rock A.M.E. youth prepare for parade Saturday

The youth at Flat Rock A.M.E. Church will participate in the AME Church Founder's Day parade in downtown Atlanta on Saturday, Feb. 26. Float decorating day is set for Friday. For more information, call the church at 770-461-0283.

Hee Haw variety show planned at F'ville Christian

A southern supper and Hee Haw variety show is planned for this Sunday evening, Feb. 27 at the Fayetteville Christian Church. Reservations are requested. A love offering will be collected with proceeds going to pay for chairs for Kids' Church and this summer's Vacation Bible School. Men's breakfast planned at Christ Our Hope Lutheran

FUMC accepting 2000-2001 preschool applications

The Child Development Center at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church is accepting applications for the 2000-2001 school year. Classes are planned for three-year-olds (must be three by Sept. 1) and four-year-olds (must be four by Sept. 1). A one-time, non-refundable registration fee is required at the time of registration. FUMC ladies' softball team now forming

All ladies age 15 and up at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church are invited to become a part of the ladies' softball team. Practice begins in March. All games are played at McCurry Park in Fayetteville. For more information or to sign up, Call Mike Dunn at 770-461-3225.

Habitat Blitz meeting is Feb. 29 at Providence UMC

The first organizational meeting to discuss plans for the Habitat for Humanity “blitz” Home to be built by members of Providence United Methodist Church this summer will be Tuesday, Feb. 29, at 7 p.m. at the church. Providence UMC reschedules Christian rock concert

The Christian rock concert at Providence United Methodist Church, originally planned for Jan. 29 and featuring the bands Fish Force and Sundry, has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 4 at 6 p.m. Tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door. Fayette Presbyterian plans rummage sale March 4

Members of Fayette Presbyterian Church will have a rummage sale Saturday, March 4 from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the church. Items from many families will be contributed and selections are expected to be large. Proceeds go to the mission work trip for the Sr. high school youth this summer. Weight loss seminar to be offered at Providence UMC

The small group studies at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church have been postponed until March 8. Topics are flexible and may include Study of the Gospels, Prayer, Methodism, Divorce Recovery, Quilting, Body & Soul (scripture based weight loss program), and Grief Support.
