for Humanity taking applications Fayette County residents who think they may qualify to purchase a Habitat for Humanity home are invited to a workshop on Saturday, March 4, at the First Baptist Church of Morrow. The workshop will start at 9 a.m. and will end at noon. Homeowner applications will be accepted at the workshop. Applicants must meet certain requirements to qualify. A spokesperson explains: We feel it is important for applicants to understand that this program is selective and requires a great deal of commitment on their part as well as ours For the program to work, they must be committed to partnering with us in our efforts to eliminate poverty housing from Clayton, Fayette and Henry counties. Habitat offers mortgages on a 20-year, no interest basis, the spokesperson continued. The money homeowners pay monthly is used to build more homes for more deserving families. The First Baptist Church of Morrow is at 1647 Lake Harbin Rd. in Morrow, near the Morrow Post Office and next to the Morrow Police Station. For additional information, call 770-477-2367.
