Briefs Bethany UMW will host breakfast at IHOP The United Methodist Women (UMW) at Bethany United Methodist Church will have breakfast at the International House of Pancakes in Fayetteville on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 8:30 a.m. Reservations must be made by Monday, Feb. 14. Revival continues at Jones Chapel UMC Revival Fire 2000 is the theme of revival services at Jones Chapel United Methodist Church in Newnan which will continue each Thursday, Friday and Saturday through March. Lenten Lunch series begins on Ash Wednesday The community is invited to join members of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church as they enjoy fellowship, a short devotional and a light lunch each Thursday from noon until 1 p.m. beginning on Ash Wednesday, March 8. The luncheons will continue each Thursday through Maundy Thursday, April 20. The cost is $2 per person. FUMC is located in the center of downtown Fayetteville across from the courthouse. Christ Our Hope youth plan car wash March 19 The youth at Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church will have a car wash on Sunday, March 19, during the Sunday School hour and the 11 a.m. worship service. Proceeds will go toward raising money to attend the ELCA National Youth Gathering. The cost is $5 per car to wash, and an additional $3 to vacuum. Vans are $6 to wash and an additional $4 to vacuum. Bethany offers children's fellowship each Wednesday Bethany United Methodist Church offers a fellowship for children each Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. Children's choir practice is from 6:15-6:45 p.m., followed by a snack supper until 7:30 p.m. The remainder of time is spent playing and having fun.
