to host celebrity basketball game, auction The Fayette County High School Boys' Basketball teams are sponsoring a Ceebrity/Student basketball game and silent auction. This event will be held in the FCHS gym on Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 6:30 p.m. The auction will feature items donated from local businesses such as car detailing, oil changes, jewelry, restaurants dinners, clothing, health club memberships, personalized stationary, photography packages, sports memorabilia, artwork and handcrafted items. Bidding will start at 6:30 p.m. and will close at 8:30 p.m. The basketball game will feature a FCHS student team playing against the Celebrity/Faculty team. Celebrities who are confirmed for the event are: Lee Haney, (eight time Mr. Olympia), Kent Hill (member of the 1980 Los Angeles Rams Super Bowl team), Cliff Livingston (former player for the Chicago Bulls), Andre Flynn (FCHS J.V. coach, former player for the Philadelphia 76'ers and L.A. Clippers) and 97.5 FM radio personalities. Officials for the games will be NBA Referees Eddie Rush and Derek Stafford. Everyone is invited to come out for this fun night of exciting basketball and bidding on auction items. The cost is $5 per person. Tickets will be available at the gym the night of the game or can be purchased at the High School during lunch.
