The Fayette County Youth Orchestra will present a free concert of classical music Thursday, Feb. 3 at 7 p.m. at Fayette Presbyterian Church, 791 Ga. Highway 92 north in Fayetteville.

Two of the pieces to be performed are “Overture 1812” and “Farandole.”

The orchestra was organized in February 1999 for students in the Fayette County School District under the direction of Saskia Pineda. It provides students in grades three through 12 an opportunity for orchestral performance.

Currently, there are 28 members from grades three through nine.
