St. Gabriel's selects Row Anderson as its Woman of the Year

Fayetteville resident Row Anderson was recently selected Woman of the Year at the Catholic Church of Saint Gabriel and represented the church at the Archdiocesan level. Mrs. Anderson represented St. Gabriel's and was recognized at a recent gathering of women from parishes throughout the Atlanta area at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Atlanta.

Mrs. Anderson, a Fayetteville resident since 1981, is currently the parish Neighborhood Committee coordinator and participates in many other activities. She and her husband Chip have been married 31 years and were among the original members of St. Gabriel's when it began as a Mission Church in 1987.

Mrs. Anderson is active in the church's Women's Guild, is a worship leader, a Eucharistic minister, a member of the Renew 2000 committee and has served as a member of the pastoral council.

She also was active in the Fayette County High School Booster Club, the youth baseball association, the youth football association, and was on the facilitating committee for the high school.

“There is no greater honor than knowing the parish community of St. Gabriel's believes in what you do,” she said, when asked how it felt to receive this yearly selection from among her fellow parishioners. “I give my heartfelt thanks to all.”

Mrs. Anderson has two sons and two grandsons and works as a purchasing agent for Clayton State University.
