Developers,
please take note: We like those trees It is so unfortunate that some developers consider trees to be such a nuisance when they are trying to build. Perhaps they should live in the Southwest for a while, where there are fewer trees, and a national forest often consists of a few oaks scattered here and there among the dry grass, or hills covered with scrub brushes commonly known as chapparal. After seeing that, or watching an out-of-control brush fire burn thousands of acres, as well as many homes, they might appreciate the beauty of the greenery, which is in stark contrast to the drab brown landscape that is so common in many places in the Southwest. The very trees which are often scorned by builders are what makes this state so appealing to those of us who have come from more arid regions of the country. So keep the trees! Judith Simpson
