Bethany's Circle of Love will host lunch

The Circle of Love at Bethany United Methodist Church in Fayetteville will host a lunch for all members of the church on Thursday, Jan. 13, at noon. Plans will be made for the upcoming year. Fayetteville Christian plans Big Wheel Derby

Fayetteville Christian Church invites its younger members age 2-4 years old to participate in the annual Big Wheels Derby scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 15 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Children are asked to being their bikes, trikes, big wheelers, etc. to the church for the derby. Lunch will be served. Sign up at the church or call 770-461-8763.

River's Edge youth schedule mystery trip

Youth at River's Edge Community Church are invited to bring their friends and attend “Mystery Trip 2000,” scheduled for Jan. 16-18. The group will leave after church on Sunday and will return Tuesday afternoon. The destination is a mystery. Cost is less than $100 per person. A confidential parent meeting is planned for Sunday, Jan. 9 at 5 p.m. For more information, call the church office at 770-719-0303.

Bethany plans `Birthday Bash' Jan. 19

Members of Bethany United Methodist Church will have a special celebration each month for those celebrating special days. This month's get-together is planned for Wednesday, Jan. 19 at 6 p.m. Dinner will be chicken and dumplings with a birthday cake celebration following to honor those with January birthdays. Fayetteville Christian plans `Dinner with Dad'

Girls at Fayetteville Christian Church who are in kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to cook a special “Dinner for Dad” on Saturday, Jan. 22. Young ladies are asked to meet at the church at 3 p.m. to prepare the meal. Dads will arrive at 6 p.m. Those who plan to participate are asked to sign up at the church.
