Briefs River's Edge plans potluck dinner Jan. 9 River's Edge Community Church will have a potluck dinner Sunday, Jan. 9 at 6 p.m. For more information, contact the church at 770-179-0303. Seniors at Fayetteville Christian plan activities Fayetteville Christian Church members age 52 and older are invited to a lunch meeting Sunday, Jan. 9 following the morning worship service. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss ideas and possibilities for the Senior Adult Ministry (S.A.M.'s Group). Lunch reservations are requested. The last day to sign up is Jan. 2. River's Edge will host men's supper Jan. 7 The men of River's Edge Community Church are invited to a men's supper on Friday, Jan. 7 at 7 p.m. The cost is $5. Providence UMC to host Christian rock concert Providence United Methodist Church will host a Christian Rock Concert on Saturday, Jan. 29, featuring the bands Fish Force and Sundry. Fayetteville Christian plans Big Wheel Derby Fayetteville Christian Church invites its younger members age 2-4 years old to participate in the annual Big Wheels Derby scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 15 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Children are asked to being their bikes, trikes, big wheelers, etc. to the church for the derby. River's Edge youth schedule mystery trip Youth at River's Edge Community Church are invited to bring their friends and attend “Mystery Trip 2000,” scheduled for Jan. 16-18. The group will leave after church on Sunday and will return Tuesday afternoon. The destination is a mystery. Cost is less than $100 per person.
