River's Edge Community Church will offer a class in church membership, C.L.A.S.S. 101, Discovering Church Membership, the first in a series of classes known as Christian Life And Service Seminars, beginning Wednesday, Jan. 5 and continuing each Wednesday through Jan. 26.

The class introduces participants to four areas: “Our Salvation,” which covers Salvation, Baptism and Communion; “Our Statement,” which answers the questions “What we believe and why we exist”; “Our Strategy,” which explores, “Who are we trying to reach ? What does it mean to be a member of a local church and how do members fulfill the purposes of Jesus Christ through the church?”; and “Our Structure,” covering the church's government, covenants, church affiliations and church missions.
