Reference Dr. John Hatcher's church section column Dec. 29 about pastor Creflo Dollar:

I'll put you in the corner with Creflo as long as you both agree to wear the appropriate headgear — a dunce cap.

What a moronic point of view to hear from a supposed community moral leader!

The point is not that the admittedly underpaid officers received money. It's that Dollar may have benefited from the transaction illegally. That is graft, pure and simple.

Of course, if he did not receive special consideration, then the officers were not willing accomplices in his attempted corruption.

But don't insult our intelligence by insinuating that his church's action was just “coincidentally” timed with his traffic offense.
