Southland Nursing Home in Peachtree City was named a “Gold Center of Excellence” in the Care More corporate awards program for 1999.

The award was announced last month at an awards luncheon in Macon.

The award is presented to those nursing centers that exhibit outstanding quality in several different ways. These include patient and family satisfaction, state and federal surveys, recognition of staff, quality improvement, customer service training, peer reviews, service to community, volunteer recruitment, training and recognition and working within financial guidelines.

“Our congratulations to the staff at Southland Nursing Home,” said Care More president Ronnie Rollins. “We are very proud of each of our associates and the outstanding jobs they do throughout the year.
