Mary Marcele Connole Hyde

Mary Marciele Connole Hyde, 80, Peachtree City, died Oct. 6, 2004. She was born Dec. 14, 1923 in Newark, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle H. Hyde, whom she married April 20, 1945. He died Sept. 13, 2004. They had lived in Robbinsville, N. C., Smyrna, Ga., Marietta, Ga., and Canton, Ga. Memorial services will be Friday, Oct. 22nd at the Carmichael-Hemperley chapel, with the Rev. Tim Batchelor officiating. Survivors include a son, Lyle H. and Marianne Hyde Jr., Chicago, Ill; a daughter, Lynn and Steve Harris, Fayetteville; grandsons, Jason and Mendal Hyde, Chris and Secret Harris, and Matt and Melanie Harris; a granddaughter, Jennifer Hyde Dracos; six great-grandchildren; and one brother. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.

Dorothy Jeffery Glass

Dorothy Jeffery Glass, 77, Fayetteville, died Oct. 9, 2004. She was born April 10, 1927 in Atlanta, Ga. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Services were at the Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Wood, the Rev. Clarence Ensley, and the Rev. Alan Parker officiating. Survivors include her husband, L. C. Glass, Fayetteville; sons, Ricky and Beth Glass, Locust Grove, and Allen and Toni Glass, Covington; daughters, Robin and Ronnie Hayes, Fayetteville, and Penny and Brian Curry, Brooks; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Joseph M. Collins

Joseph M. Collins, 81, Fayetteville, formerly of Columbus, died Oct. 10, 2004. He was born Feb. 25, 1923 in Geneva County, Ala. He was a member of the Mount Hermon Masonic Lodge #304 F&AM, the York Rite, and the Al Sihah Shrine Temple. Graveside services were at the Parkhill Cemetery, Columbus, with the Rev. Roy Roberson officiating. Survivors include his wife, Betty Collins, Fayetteville; a son, Phil and Vicky Collins, Peachtree City; a grandson, Reid G. Collins, Brooklyn, N. Peggy Varner

Peggy Varner, 49, Fayetteville, died Oct. 10, 2004. She was born Aug. 8, 1955 in Cleveland, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Alan Varner. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with Chaplain Gary Lewis officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, College Park. Survivors daughters, Dina Robinson, Fayetteville, and Tammy and Duane Nichols, Hampton; special companion, Bob Morris, Peachtree City; brothers, Doyle Smith, Peachtree City, and John Goins, Lorain, Ohio; and grandchildren, Cody Nichols, Bryan Roinson, Alan Robinson, and Austin Robinson. Gwendolyn Yuvonne Ivey

Gwendolyn Yuvonne Ivey, 62, Fayette County, died Oct. 14, 2004. She was born Dec. 28, 1941 in Cordele, Ga. She had lived in Fayette County for 30 years. She had been retired from TDK for a year. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Bill Brannon and the Rev. Gene Breed officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Gene Ivey, Fayette County; a daughter, Janet Villalpondo, Dallas, Ga.; a grandson, Daniel Villalpondo, Dallas; a granddaughter, Angie and Matt Harper, Villa Rica; a great-grandson, Grant “Moochie” Harper, Villa Rica; parents, Julius and Hazel Wright; a brother, James and Brenda Wright, Fayette County; sisters, Melba and Jackey Matthews, and Myra and Bruce Mask, all of Fayette County, and Sherri and Mike Burdette, Griffin; and a sister-in-law, Rady Wright, Fayetteville.
