She was born Oct. 8, 1940 in DeKalb County, Ga., the daughter of the late Roy and Ettie Bell Chesnut. She was a member of Fayetteville First Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery for many years. Services were at the Fayetteville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Glenn Stringham and the Rev. Chris Perkins officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. He was in class of 1939 at Georgia Tech. He served in the Pacific Navy from 1944 to 1946 and was retired from Ford Motor Company. Services were at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Jimmy Adams officiating. Interment was at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Catherine Murphy Reed; sons, William Bruce and Joyce Reed Jr., Kennesaw, and Ronald L. and Marie Reed, Leesville, S. Myrtle Adele Bessette Schell Myrtle Adele Bessette Schell, 88, Peachtree City, died March 2, 2004. She was born May 20, 1915 in Rugby, N. D., where she was reared and graduated from the local schools. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Ella A. Larson Bessette, and her husband, Joe Schell, whom she married in 1936. She served at a head dietician of various hospitals in South California until 1977. She then returned to Klameth Fall, Ore., where she had lived from 1955 to 1959. In 1987, they moved to Peachtree City. She enjoyed flower gardening, decorating, traveling and cooking. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel. Survivors include a son, Tarey and Priscilla Schell, Peachtree City; a daughter, Catt Schell and Jerry Kirkpatrick, Westport, Wash., six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Allyene Long Wynne Allyene Long Wynne, 84, Crawfordville, died March 6, 2004. She was born July 26, 1919 in Red Level, Ala. She had been a resident of Taliaferro County, Ga., for 54 years. She was a member of the Sharon-Raytown Garden Club, the Fidelis Sunday School class as well as the Crawfordville Baptist Church. She was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 8 of Crawfordville. Services were at the Crawfordville Baptist Church with the Rev. John Autry officiating. Interment was at Powelton Cemetery. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, John Veazey Wynne, Crawfordville, Ga.; daughters, Judith W. and Ray Pearson, Macon, Ga., and Luci and Randy Hough, Peachtree City; a sister, Lucile L.
