Jamie Keet

Jamie Keet, 8, Newnan, died July 28, 2002. He was born April 12, 1994 in Newnan, and died after a yearlong battle resulting from a brain hemorrhage Aug. 3, 2001. He attended Newnan Presbyterian Preschool from 1997-1999 and Thomas Crossroad’s Elementary School from 199-2001. He had a love for all outdoor activities, especially fishing, boating, skateboarding, and biking. He was a very loving, sensitive, and giving person and was always smiling.
Memorial services were at the Resurrection Lutheran Church, Newnan.
Survivors include his parents, Jim and Jeannene Keet, Newnan; a sister, Kyla Keet, Newnan; grandparents, Bob and Dot Harvey, Decatur, Ala., and June Keet, Charleston R. I.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Children’s Healthcare, 1687 Tullie Circle, Atlanta, GA 30329. Specify the Scottish Rite’s new ICU in his memory.

Patsy Steele

Patsy Elizabeth Steele, 73, LaGrange, died July 30, 2002. She was born Oct. 8, 1928 in Newnan, where she lived all her life. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Willie Theo Steele, a son, William Larry Steele, and her parents. She worked for B H Douglas Aluminum Foundry for more than 20 years. She loved gospel music, collecting porcelain dolls, figurines of Noah’s Ark, and growing flowers in her garden.
Memorial services were at the Jones Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Tom Steele and Pastor Terry Calhoun officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Newnan.
Survivors include daughters, Brenda Darlene Banks, Sylvia Ann White, and Dorothy Elaine Bearden, all of Newnan; a brother J. L. Thrower, Wilmington, N. C.; sisters, Eleanor Tyle, Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Priscilla Helton, Newnan; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Jones Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.

Laura Feltman

Laura Ferguson Feltman, 44, Newnan, died July 31, 2002. She was born Dec. 16, 1957 in Tampa, Fla.
Graveside services were at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Newnan, with the Rev. Larry Patton officiating.
Survivors include her husband, John Feltman, Newnan; parents, James Dudley and Roberta Lee Ferguson, Newnan; and sisters, Lee Berry, Smyrna, and Jamie Smith and Lynn Tyson, both of Douglasville, Ga.
Memorial donations may be made to the Newnan Coweta Humane Society, 41 Jefferson St., Newnan, GA 30263.

Vernon Steely

Vernon “Danny” Steely, 57, Sharpsburg, died Aug. 2, 2002. He was born Aug. 13, 1944 in Fulton County. He was employed as a broker for Re-max Real Estate in Fayette County. He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Brice Steely.
Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Clay Jacobs and Steve Ruddell officiating. Interment was at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta.
Survivors include his wife, Julie Steely, Sharpsburg; mother, Mary Steely, Powder Springs; children, Terri Lynn Cook, San Diego, Calif., Courtney Richards, and Cole Amtmann, both of Sharpsburg; a brother, John Steely, Woodstock; and a sister, Judy King, Lithia Springs.
Memorial donations may be made to the Portsbridge Hospice, 1335 Lake Ridge Pkwy., Riverdale, GA 30277.
