Joan Marjory Victer, 58, Fayetteville, died June 25, 2002. She was born July 14, 1943 in Ontario, Canada. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marjory Plant and a brother, Gordon Plant. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Miller officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include her husband, Carl Victer, Fayetteville; sons, David Victer, Senoia, and Doug Victer, Sharpsburg; a daughter, Jodie Blume, Sharpsburg; five grandchildren; father, Roy Plant, Ft. Teresa Russ, 57, Fayetteville, died June 26, 2002. She was born Dec, 25, 1944 in Carroll County. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Tom Daughterty officiating. Interment was at College Park Cemetery. Survivors include a son, Joe Myrick, Fayetteville; daughters, Sandra Myrick, Judy Stallings, and Sheri Bradshaw, all of Fayetteville; brothers, Bobby Cambron, Dallas, Texas, James Grady Cambron, Dahlonega, and Stan Cambron, Indianapolis, Ind.; and grandchildren, Christy Haney, Newnan, Ron Haney, Sean Bradshaw, David Bradshaw, and Justin Bradshaw, all of Fayetteville. James Arnall Jr.
James W. Arnall Jr., 76, St. Simons Island, Ga., died June 26, 2002. He was born March 2, 1926 in Fulton County, the son of James W. and Francis Hardy Arnall Sr. He was a native of Senoia and served in the United States Marine Corps from 1944 to 1946, participating in the Battle of Iwo Jima. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 1948 in journalism. He worked for the Associated Press for a number of years and then for Mercer University as Director of Public Relations. He returned to Senoia in 1982 and was the editor of the Hartsfield Airport Newspaper until his retirement. He was a member of the St. Simons Baptist Church. Graveside services were at the Senoia Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the National Arthritis Foundation, 1330 West Peachtree St., Atlanta, GA 30309. Carl J. Martha Smith
Martha M. Smith, 80, Newnan, died July 2, 2002. She was born July 21, 1921 in Newnan. She was a retired superintendent of nursing at Newnan Hospital. Graveside services were at Oak Hill Cemetery, Newnan, with the Rev. Dr. Gene Tyre officiating. Survivors include sons, Charles and Evelyn "Lynn" Smith and James and Martha Smith, all of Newnan; grandchildren, Martha and Darren Mitchell, Charles and Stephanie Smith and William and Michelle Smith, all of Newnan, and Jacqueline Smith, Greenville, S. C.; and great-grandchildren, Sadie Smith, James Thompson IV, and Martha Smith. McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
