Arthur Emil Marvin

Arthur Emil Marvin, 83, Sharpsburg, died Jan. 13, 2002. He was born April 25, 1918 in Brooklyn, Kings County, N.Y. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine E. Kramer Marvin. He was one of the original members of Flat Creek Golf Club and one of the original founders of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. He was also active in St. Vincent de Paul, the Optimist Club and the Kiwanis Club.
Services were at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with the Rev. John Walsh officiating.
Survivors include his children, Barbara and George Heatwole, Sharpsburg, Arthur and Janet Marvin, Port Jefferson, N.Y., William and Eileen Marvin, Garden City, N.Y., Charles and Sandra Marvin, Peachtree City, George and Sally Marvin, Dallas, Texas, and Frank and Kimberley Marvin, Sharpsburg; 18 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.

George Richard Campbell Sr.

George Richard Campbell Sr., 78, Union City, died Jan. 15, 2002. He was born June 8, 1923 in Tampa, Fla., son of the late George Ira and Elva Lyman Campbell. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emmaleen Shelor Campbell, in 1994. He was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Morco Food Distributors.
Services were at the Thomas Funeral Home, Calhoun, Ga., with the Rev. Sandra Fendley officiating. Interment was in the family lot of Fain Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, George Campbell Jr., Woodstock; daughters Shelor C. Gilbert, Sharpsburg, Kathy Jordan, Stone Mountain, and Jennifer C. Fendley, Fayetteville; a brother, Roger Campbell, Asheville, N.C.; grandchildren John Gilbert Jr., Patrick Gilbert and Rebekah Campbell, and great-grandchildren Allen Michael Gilbert, Donovan Alexander Gilbert and Emmaleen Alexis Ehrets.
Thomas Funeral Home, Calhoun, Ga., was in charge.

Jim Addison

Jim Addison, 86, Newnan, died Jan. 21, 2002. He was born Aug. 25, 1915 in Harrelson County, Ga. He had been employed as a textile worker.
Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Udell Addison officiating. Interment was at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include sons Billy Joe Addison, Newnan, and Charles Addison, Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Shirley Riggs, Independence, Mo.; brothers Cranford Addison, Floyd Addison and the Rev. Udell Addison, all of Newnan; a sister, Ann Grant, Senoia; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.

Ruby Inez Cash

Ruby Inez Cash, 87, Newnan, formerly of Luthersville, died Jan. 21, 2002. She was born Jan. 24, 1914 in Fayette County, the daughter of Riley O. and Sara V. Dover Spradlin. She was a retired waitress and a member of the Faith Baptist Church, Primrose, Ga. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William L. Cash, and sisters Gladys Jones and Alma Cash.
Services were at the Hillcrest Chapel with the Rev. Billy Ball officiating. Interment was at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include daughters Frances Spradlin, Luthersville, and Virginia Newborn, Newnan; grandchildren Timothy Spradlin, Ann Barber and Chris Spradlin, all of Luthersville, Samantha Atkins Stone, Bill Atkins and Dan Lee, all of Newnan, and 15 grandchildren.

Gail Janice Lord

Gail Janice Lord, 56, Jonesboro, died Jan. 27, 2002. She was born Sept. 28, 1944 in Buford, Gwinnett County, Ga., the daughter of Kathleen Pope, Jonesboro and the late William Edmonds.
Services were at the Resurrection Baptist Church, Newnan, with pastor Dan Dahl officiating. Interment was at Sugar Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Buford, Ga.
Survivors include a daughter, Shelley Tyler, Newnan; brothers Lamar Samuel Edmonds, Fayetteville, and Donald Anthony Edmonds, Texarkana, Texas; a sister, Ginger Diane Austin Isaacs, Jonesboro, and grandchildren Mariah Tyler and Morgan Tyler, both of Newnan.
Hillcrest Chapel, Newnan, was in charge.

Vickie Gillespie Terrell

Vickie Gillespie Terrell, 48, Sharpsburg, died Jan. 21, 2002. She was born July 11, 1953 in Coweta County. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Graveside services were at Oak Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Duncan officiating.
Survivors include her husband, Ron Terrell, Sharpsburg; parents Hansel and Doris Gillespie, Sharpsburg; children Blue and Missy Cole and Michael and Elizabeth Terrell, all of Newnan; a brother, Ernest and Jill Gillespie, Newnan; sisters Robin Gillespie, Sharpsburg, Donna and Ricki Dingler, Moreland, Susan and Patrick McCarty, Sherri and Mick Slaton, and Terri and Denise Barnes, all of Newnan; grandchildren Erica Tate and Ethan Tate, both of Newnan, and lifelong friends Bonnie and Randy Neely, Newnan.
