Jean Corelli Alterio

Jean Corelli “Mama Gina” Alterio, 79, Port St. Lucie, Fla., formerly of Peachtree City, died June 16, 2002. She was born May 5, 1923 in the Bronx, N. Y. She was the founder of Corelli's Italian Restaurant, Braelinn Village. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and crocheting. Services were in Florida with interment at Forest Lawn, Fort Lauderdale. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Alterio, Port St. Lucie, formerly of Peachtree City; daughters, MaryAnn and Robert Grove, Peachtree City and Cynthia and Joseph Affrunti, Florida; grandchildren, JoyAnn Grove Flowers, David J. Affrunti, Lisa-Marie Grove, Danielle Goldberg, and Dianna Affrunti; and three great-grandchildren.

Robert Freeman

Robert “Bob” Freeman, 66, Tyrone, died June 22, 2002. He was born July 19, 1935 in Valley, Ala. He was retired from Eastern Airlines. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel. Survivors include his wife, Eileen Freeman, Tyrone; sons, Michael Freeman, Tyrone, Gary and Georgia Freeman, Miami; daughter, Katrina and Jimmy Haumann, Tyrone; and grandchildren, Jessica Haumann, Mallie Haumann, and Dusty Haumann, Austin and Savannah Freeman, and Eric Freeman. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association of Georgia, 2452 Spring Road, Smyrna, GA 30080. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.

Richard Gary Caldwell

Richard Gary Caldwell, 60, Peachtree City, died June 22, 2002. He was born Sept. 22, 1941 in King County, Wash. Graveside services were at the Penfield Cemetery, Penfield, Ga., with the Rev. Richard Dodds officiating. Survivors include his wife, Sara Anne Caldwell, Peachtree City; a son, John and Ann Caldwell, Fayetteville; a daughter, Karen and Mark Dickson, McDonough; grandchildren, Kayleigh Dickson, McDonough, and Samantha Caldwell, Fayetteville; and a sister, Linda Hoskinson, Bremerton, Wash. Robert D. Weismann

Robert D. Weismann, 83, Peachtree City, died June 22, 2002. He was born Dec. 12, 1918 in New York City. He was a member of the Masonic order. Memorial services were at St. Andrew's in-the-Pines, Peachtree City, with the Rev. Father Dan Brigham officiating. Survivors include his wife, Anna Borrman Weismann, Peachtree City; sons, William Weismann, Orlando, Fla., and Richard Weismann, Atlanta; a daughter, Anne Gorton, Maryland; and three grandchildren. Nicholas Allen East

Nicholas Allen East, 22, Sharpsburg, died June 23, 2002. He was born April 13, 1980 in Clayton County, Ga. He was a 1998 graduate of Fayette County High School. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel, Peachtree City, with the Rev. Allen Mathura officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn, College Park. Survivors include parents, David and Cathy East; a brother, Shane East, Sharpsburg; a niece, Olivia East, Fayetteville; and grandmother, Bonnie Swafford, Union City, Ga. Carl J. Joan Marjory Victer

Joan Marjory Victer, 58, Fayetteville, died June 25, 2002. She was born July 14, 1943 in Ontario, Canada. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marjory Plant and a brother, Gordon Plant. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Miller officiating. interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include her husband, Carl Victer, Fayetteville; sons, David Victer, Senoia, and Doug Victer, Sharpsburg; a daughter, Jodie Blume, Sharpsburg; five grandchildren; father, Roy Plant, Ft. Wiley Oswell Chapman

The Rev. Wiley Oswell “Pappy” Chapman, 86, Stockbridge, died June 25, 2002. He was born March 13, 1916 in Fayette County, the son of Paul T. and Almira Florida Key Chapman. Graveside services were at Lisbon Baptist Church Cemetery, Fayetteville, with the Rev. Trenton Swanson officiating. Survivors include his wife, Martha Jane “Mammie” Dover Chapman, Stockbridge; a daughter, Sylvia Jane and Skip Johnson, Stockbridge; grandchildren, Anita J. Cochran, Stockbridge, Elizabeth and Glynn Morgan, Fayetteville, Lance Naterman and Erran Naterman, both of Florida; great-grandchildren, Taryn Morgan, Blake Morgan, Leah Cochran, Rachel Cochran, Jimmy Dean Cochran, and Justin Naterman; and a sister, Sarah Turner, Griffin. Teresa Russ

Teresa Russ, 57, Fayetteville, died June 26, 2002. She was born Dec, 25, 1944 in Carroll County. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Tom Daughterty officiating. Interment was at College Park Cemetery. Survivors include a son, Joe Myrick, Fayetteville; daughters, Sandra Myrick, Judy Stallings, and Sheri Bradshaw, all of Fayetteville; brothers, Bobby Cambron, Dallas, Texas, James Grady Cambron, Dahlonega, and Stan Cambron, Indianapolis, Ind.; and grandchildren, Christy Haney, Newnan, Ron Haney, Sean Bradshaw, David Bradshaw, and Justin Bradshaw, all of Fayetteville. Thomas P. Regan

Thomas P. Regan, 57, Peachtree City, died June 26, 2002. He was born Nov. 25, 1944 in Topyhanna, Pa. Memorial services were at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with the Rev. Father John Walsh officiating. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Meckes Regan, Peachtree City; and brothers, Robert Regan and William Regan, both of Peachtree City. Carl J. Robbie Christine Stone

Robbie Christine Stone, 80, Fayetteville, died June 24, 2002. She was born April 8, 1922 in Calhoun, Gordon County, Ga. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Harold “Ted” Stone. She was a member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church. Services were at Carl J. Mowell chapel, Fayetteville, with the Rev. Martin Jones officiating. Interment was at Sherwood Memorial Park, Jonesboro. Survivors include daughters, Faylene Stone, Brenda and Richard Dumas, and Sharon and Tracey Wells, all of Fayetteville, and Rita and Jerry Whitlock, Stockbridge; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Sally Haley, and Eddie June Keeter, both of Dalton; sisters-in-law, Edna Jenkins, Dalton, and Oma Lee Talley, Plainville, Ga. James W. Arnall Jr.

James W. Arnall Jr., 76, St. Simons Island, Ga., died June 26, 2002. He was born March 2, 1926 in Fulton County, the son of James W. and Francis Hardy Arnall Sr. He was a native of Senoia and served in the United States Marine Corps from 1944 to 1946, participating in the Battle of Iwo Jima. He was graduated from the University of Georgia in 1948 in journalism. He worked for the Associated Press for a number of years and then for Mercer University as Director of Public Relations. He returned to Senoia in 1982 and was the editor of the Hartsfield Airport Newspaper until his retirement. He was a member of the St. Simons Baptist Church. Graveside services were at the Senoia Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the National Arthritis Foundation, 1330 West Peachtree St., Atlanta, GA 30309. Carl J.
