Lela Breland Washington

Lela Breland Washington, 58, Sharpsburg, died Aug. 8, 2001. She was born April 5, 1943 in Stone County, Miss., the daughter of the late Isom and Ruth Pierce Breland. She has been a resident of Sharpsburg since 1966 and was a member of Tri-County Baptist Church.
Services were at Tri-County Baptist Church, Turin, with the Rev. Ron Whitlock and the Rev. Johnny Dale McKinnon officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Newnan.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Washington, Sharpsburg; daughters Teresa Fleming and David Deaton, Ann Huckaby and Tom Page, all of Sharpsburg, and Donna Doug Creel, Newnan; a brother, Bedford Breland, Leaf, Miss.; sisters Ruth Mae Hetchcox and Betty Jean Champion, both of Talladega, Ala., Rebecca Lipham, Moreland, and Jane Ray, LaGrange; grandchildren Shane Byrom, Moreland, Nicki Huckaby, Newnan, Joseph Fleming, Thomaston, and Ben Huckaby, Sharpsburg, and great-grandchildren Dalton Byrom, Dillard Fleming and Brent Bellew.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home, Hogansville, was in charge.

Dianne Phillips

Dianne Phillips, 51, Sharpsburg, died Aug. 9, 2001. She was born Feb. 6, 1950 in Newnan. She had worked as a traffic clerk for Olsonite.
Services were at McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, with the Rev. Bill Deakins officiating. Interment was at Sharpsburg Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include a daughter, Kim and Stan Parten, Sharpsburg; brothers George and Mary Robertson, North Lauderdale, Fla., and William and Alice Robertson, Sharpsburg; sisters Louise Hedden, and Betty and Chris Key, all of Sharpsburg, and grandchildren Andrew Parten, David Parten, Jessica Parten and Kevin Parten.
McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.

Christina Amber Reid

Christina Amber Reid, 6, Newnan, died Aug. 10, 2001. She was born Jan. 25, 1995 in Atlanta.
Services were at Family Worship Center, Newnan, with the Rev. Roy Lee Messer officiating. Interment was at Berea Cemetery, Hampton, Ga.
Survivors include her parents, Christian and Barbara Reid, Newnan; a brother, Christian Reid Jr., Newnan; a sister, Jessica Roebuck Reid, Newnan; grandparents Dr. and Mrs. William and Maudenia Reid, Mansville; a great-grandmother, Wynell Pluckett, Atlanta; an uncle, Darrell C. Reid, Newnan; and an aunt, Athenea Reid-Letson, Newnan.
Martin & Hightower Hillcrest Chapel, Newnan, was in charge.
