Heritage Christian collects $11,000 for Haiti relief effortsTue, 02/09/2010 - 4:13pm
By: The Citizen
The congregation of Heritage Christian Church recently collected over $11,000 for Haiti earthquake relief. Donations will be sent to the International Disaster Emergency Service, which is “a mission that works hand-in-hand with the brotherhood of independent Christian churches and Churches of Christ and already has a presence in Haiti with teams and missionaries in the field on a daily basis.” In addition, they collected medical supplies to be sent with Wayne Herget, Fayetteville resident and former missionary to Christianville, who is in Haiti assisting with relief efforts. Heritage’s mission ministry team is in the process of evaluating how they can send teams to Haiti to actively assist in the rebuilding and rehabilitation process.
