Mr. and Mrs. Bill West of Tega Cay, S.C. announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth DeHaven West, to Benjamin James Eldridge, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Eldridge of Fayetteville.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack West of Spartanburg, S.C., and Mr. and Mrs. Furman Morrow of Columbia, S.C. She will be a spring graduate of Presbyterian College with a major in psychology.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Faye Simms of Fayetteville, Tenn. and the late Lester Simms, and Mrs. Jeannette Eldridge of Satellite Beach, Fla. and the late George Eldridge. A graduate of Fayette County High School, he received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Presbyterian College, and will graduate with his master’s from the University of Georgia in May.

The couple will marry May 15, 2010, at Grace Presbyterian Church in Fort Mill, S.C., and will reside in Athens, Ga.
