Margaretta Lucille Lawther, Peachtree City, died Jan. 25, 2010, after a short illness. She was born Feb. 26, 1918 in Pittsburg, Pa., and grew up in Johnstown, Pa., the oldest of eight children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve N. Joseph and Lucy Sopcic Jendricks, her husband, John R. Lawther, and two sisters. She left home at 17 to work at various kinds of jobs, ending her work career in Peachtree City working for several doctors. A private service will be held later. Survivors include brothers, John Jendricks, Johnstown, Pa., and Steve Jendricks, Oakdale, N. Y.; sisters, Vicky and Jim Kelly, Johnstown, Pa., and Dolores Abele, Donalsonville, Ga.; a son, John Lawther, Peachtree City; a daughter, Lynne and Charles Marquardt; grandchildren, Carl and Suzie Lawther, Raleigh, N. C., Caryn and Martijn van Wagtendonk, Colbert, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Kristine, Max, and Tess. Cremation Society of the South was in charge. login to post comments |
