Irene Estelle Purcell, 78, Fayetteville, died Feb. 1, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband Carroll Purcell, and previous husbands, Bill Hinkle and Sam Stanley, and two grandchildren. Services were at the Fayetteville First Baptist Church, Overton Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Stringham officiating.

Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include sons, John Floyd Lee, Fayetteville, and Keith W. and Lynn Lee, Brunswick; daughters, Gail L. Rowlett, Whitesburg, Janet M. Jackson, Jonesboro, and Pamela E. and Buddy Wolff, and Christine R. and Johnny Brown, all of Brunswick; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Walter and Mary Turner, Fayetteville; and a sister, Kathleen and “J. E.” Jones, Brooks. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
