County audit to be detailed ThursdayMon, 02/08/2010 - 7:17am
By: John Munford
The audit of Fayette County's finances for the 2008-2009 fiscal year will be presented to the county commission at its regular meeting Thursday night. The audit was performed by the accounting firm Cherry, Bekaert, and Holland of Douglasville. The commission is also expected to award a project to restore 31 acres of wetland, enhance another 29 acres of wetland and restore part of the channel on a site off the Flint River in Spalding County. That site is owned by Fayette County and the project is part of the wetland mitigation work required by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the Lake McIntosh reservoir project. The commission meets at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Stonewall government complex at the southwest corner of Ga. highways 54 and 85. login to post comments |
