Whatever your theme, Linda can create a cake for itTue, 09/15/2009 - 1:58pm
By: The Citizen
If you walk into Anthony’s Pizza and Pasta you will find a bakery to the left of the restaurant. Linda Alvarez bakes cakes made to order - if you can dream it Linda can create it. From action figures to airplanes to computer monitors and Barbie dolls, Linda has done it. Living in Tyrone for over 30 years, working out of her home, Linda recently decided to join her son and daughter-in-law Anthony and Shelly Brown, the owners of Anthony’s Pizza. That way the public could come in and see and meet Linda and even have a consultation in person. The two seem to compliment each other, especially if you would like to book a party for any occasion featuring Italian cuisine and a homemade speciality cake. It’s tradition in many families for Linda to bake their birthday cake. She just completed one for a seven year old who has had Linda’s cake every year since birth. She takes time with her customers and finds out their likes and dislikes and finds out what their perfect cake will be. After the birth of her daughter, Lee, Linda received a Wilton Cake Decorating book from her mother along with a set of tips and bags. It became a hobby then eventually a career. Linda’s daughter Lee also works in the bakery with her. With Halloween coming up, let Linda create her pull apart cupcakes in the design of a ghost or pumpkin for a party or classroom. For the holidays, order now for your pumpkin, sweet potato or pecan pies made fresh to order. Brownies, cookies and slices of cakes are available when dining for lunch or dinner at Anthony’s Pizza and Pasta. Anthony’s been serving the Atlanta area for over 20 years, with locations in River-dale, McDonough, Decatur, and the latest in Fayetteville. The Fayetteville location has been here for over two years. They work very closely with the schools in the area and always offer prices affordable for all the fund raising and other events the schools are involved in.
