Georgia Master Gardeners offer classes

The Fayette Master Gardeners Education Committee has planned a series of educational classes on vegetable gardening and landscape design techniques in February 2009.

Lester Bray, local gardener extraordinaire, will be sharing tips and tricks for a healthy and productive garden. 

Bray will also be speaking on plasticulture, a gardening technique that reduces water usage and increases your gardens’ yield. 

This class is being offered twice in February and each class session will be held on two separate days, the first class must be attended to understand the second day lecture. 

The first class session will be on Feb. 16 and 17 (Mon/Tues) from 1-2:30 p.m. at the New Hope Baptist Church, 551 New Hope Road in Fayetteville. 

The second class session will be on Feb. 23, and 24 (Mon/Tue) from 7- 8:30 p.m. at the Fayette County Public Library meeting room, 1821 Heritage Parkway in Fayetteville.

Former landscape designer and Master Gardener, Jamie Boulton will give this class. The class will be meetfrom 7- 8:30 p.m. next to the Fayette County Extension Service office in Suite 210, 140 Stonewall Avenue, Fayetteville.
