• Player of the Year - Jake Tanis (SS) - McIntosh - Tanis had this award wrapped up halfway through the season. He swung a big bat and played solid defense for a Chiefs team that put up a fight in every game and made the state playoffs. Tanis had a .564 batting average, 44 RBI, nine home runs, 16 doubles, 15 stolen bases, a slugging percentage of 1.115, an on-base percentage of .641 and a fielding percentage of .975. • Coach of the Year - Brent Moseley - Starr’s Mill - With a team that had a number of underclassmen starting, Moseley had his Panthers in the running for yet another region title. Starr’s Mill captured the second seed in the region and advanced to the Class AAAA Sweet 16. Undoubtedly, the Panthers will be in the running for the playoffs and more once again next year.
