By: The Citizen
Cathy Gailey, RE/MAX Around Atlanta Results REALTOR, was one of four Breast Cancer Survivors honored at the RE/MAX International Convention held recently in Las Vegas. Prior to the convention, a film crew interviewed Cathy, her family, and Broker Barbara Pearson for a piece to be used at the Susan G. Komen Luncheon and Fashion Show. This inspirational film was then played prior to Cathy taking the stage in Las Vegas. Cathy’s husband, children, and Las Vegas family were able to attend and share in the joy of this incredible day. Cathy is a 10-year Breast Cancer Survivor but was recently diagnosed with melanoma. She co-founded a group named BRA (Bikers Riding for Awareness). This group of Breast Cancer Survivors ride motorcycles to high schools to teach junior and senior girls the importance of breast exams while raising Breast Cancer awareness. Barbara Pearson, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Around Atlanta Results, stated that Cathy’s courage and determination as well as her commitment to the community are an inspiration to all who know her and she is proud that Cathy has been at RE/MAX for over 13 years.
