How's the market? What would happen with my house if I put it on the market today? Will I get my money out of it if I sell? Should I buy a new home? Investment property? Is vacation property a good investment for my money?
These are questions that you may have asked yourself recently. At some point and time every homeowner will have to consider these questions and look for an answer. Twenty years ago people were asking the same thing, but at that time interest rates were above 16%! There will always be issues, challenges, reasons to sell or not to sell. The most important answer to all of these questions - is to evaluate your personal needs and ask a professional. A Realtor!

In the last ten years selling homes has been immeasurably easier than at other times due to historically low interest rates and a favorable economic climate. Because of this relative ease, many both in the industry as well as investors saw residential real estate as a goldmine. Now that the market has tightened, many in the industry are scrambling to find the proverbial nugget. One of the first things people do in these times is to try to find a company that promises or appears to be the quick fix. Just as with the stock market, those who invest with solid companies for the long haul will see a greater long term return on their investment.

While it comes as no surprise that we are facing a challenging market, by all indications, we may be facing some difficulties for awhile to come yet. Even with the current market conditions, people are still buying and selling homes everyday. Our history in and knowledge of the Atlanta market and our reputation for the best products and services will help us weather this storm.

Realtors strive to be committed to offering you the best resources to meet their needs, no matter the market conditions. Marketing and advertising, farming, prospecting, educating and providing superior customer service are the foundations for maintaining a healthy real estate business.

Another issue in today's society is safety for everyone. "We at the Fayette Co. Board of Realtors are deeply committed to Public Safety. We urge Realtors that no measure of material success can equal the value of an agent's life or well being and we want to keep the general public in those concerns. The most important thing to keep in the back of your mind is safety first! Simple strategies and cautiousness will save lives," encouraged Patti Ayers, Fayette Co. Board President.

The Fayette County Board of REALTORS“ is one of nearly 1,600 local boards and associations of REALTORS“ is nationwide that comprise the National Association of REALTORS“. As the nation's largest trade association, NAR "the Voice for Real Estate," representing more than 1,200,000 members involved in all aspects of the real estate industry.
