Kenneth Smith of Jonesborough, Tenn., and Ms. Barbara Smith of Savannah, announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Lee Smith, to Michael David Blubaugh, son of David Blubaugh of Senoia and Mrs. Jamie Armour of Peachtree City.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Lynn Grant of Brick, N.J., Mrs. Joan VanOver of Forked River, N.J., and Fred Smith of Poconos, Pa. She is a 2004 graduate of Windsor Forest High School in Savannah, and will receive a degree in biology and pre-vet from Georgia Southern University this spring. She will seek a D.V.M. in the fall.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mrs. Martha Reynolds of Jonesboro and Mr. and Mrs. H.E. Blubaugh of Laie, Hawaii. He is a 2003 graduate of McIntosh High School in Peachtree City and a 2009 graduate of Ogeechee Tech with degrees in geographic information systems and wildlife and plantation management.

A June 19, 2010, wedding is planned at Unicoi State Park followed by a Caribbean cruise.
