Group VI wins top award
Group VI Corporation was awarded the "2000 Best Industrial Site " Award for the recently completed office and warehouse building for Tek-Rail. The award was presented to Group VI by Peachtree City Mayor Bob Lenox and Building Offical, Tom Carty at the January 18 City Council Meeting. Tek-Rail's new corporate headquarters and distribution center is located on Dividend Drive in Peachtree City's Industrial Park. The 60,000 square foot industrial building is a build-to-suit project by Group VI for Tek-Rail. Group VI constructed the building using tilt concrete wall panels and pre-engineered steel. The facility was completed in December 2000. According to Tom Carty, Building Official, "You could not ask for a better site. With all the trees, even though it's an industrial building in an industrial park, it feels just like home." Steve Foster, President of Tek-Rail announced, "When we decided to relocate there was never any doubt we wanted Group VI to build our new building. I especially want to thank Rod Arion, our C.O.O., Jim Pace, and the rest of the Group VI Team for all the hard work they put into making this a facility that we are proud to call home." Jim Pace, President of Group VI stated, "We are extremely pleased that our Tek-Rail Project was selected as the 'Industrial Site of the Year' by Peachtree City. Tom Carty and his team have high standards; at Group VI we try hard to meet those standards on every project. It is nice to know that we were able to live up to their high expectations." Group VI Corporation, who recently moved their headquarters to Peachtree City's Westpark Office Center, has completed many office, industrial, and commercial projects throughout the Atlanta region.
