Three local high
school football teams entered the state quarterfinals last Friday night
and one will be in the state semifinals this Friday.
Starr's
Mill starts wrestling at Walton Duals
Local wrestling
teams are starting to warm up for the 2000-2001 season. Starr's Mill,
a state powerhouse for the past two years in AAA, is now in 4-AAAAA.
They should be a contender again this year, once they get several members
of the football team back.

South Metro wrestling tournament will be held this weekend at Fayette
County High School.

rivalries heat up basketball rivalries
The
high school basketball season started heating up last weekend, thanks
to some rivalries, both old and new.

ends football season with a win
The PACE Christian
High School Panthers spoiled the homecoming of Youth Christian recently
in Powder Springs.
