Project Love providing food for the holidays
For the past six years Fayette Senior Services through the Meals On Wheels program has delivered special holiday meal packs to those on the regular route.
Holiday Senior Celebration on tap
Regions Bank and the Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center have teamed up to offer a special complimentary holiday luncheon and gala for seniors in Fayette and Coweta counties. Approximately 350 local seniors are expected to attend the luncheon Dec. 19. The ballroom at the Wyndham will be decorated with holiday finery in the spirit of the season and seniors will enjoy a day filled with "scrumptious food and lively entertainment."

A few years ago I wrote a story about someone in the Prime Timer pages who touched my life. When I first talked with Charlie Harper and his wife Mamie, he was running for the office of tax commissioner. He lost the election, but I gained a friend.
