Boyo, the military governors to be appointed by the pres are not governors of states. The decision came directly from Obama through the Sec of Defense. That’s military. If the Pres. has the power of executive order, then he is a de facto dictator. Remember Hitler was a dictator who was elected by stupid Germans like the ones who voted for Obama.

At Home Gym, I’d be interested to know what our silent senator Chambliss has to say, since Congress wasn’t consulted. I’m betting nothing. I understand that the 10 military districts will correspond to the 10 FEMA regions.

Has everyone forgotten that Obama previously said that he wanted his own Whitehouse security force, you know, sort of like the SS in Germany. An executive order having to do with total military power in the hands of the President implies a “state of emergency”. Remember that Lincoln issued an executive order during the civil war and cancelled habeas corpus. That’s your due process and essentially you rights of freedom under the constitution. But don’t worry. Everything is going great in America and Obama can make a good speech, like Hitler could.

This afternoon I watched a show on History International about our nations contingency plan in the event of a nuclear attack in one of our major cities. It seems that every President has to establish a clear "Cog Plan" to prepare for such a travesty. Could it be that this is what is at play here? The show was very informative and frightening. Let's hope that these plans never have to be invoked.

left off the "1". And yes, the EO has an odor of "Martial Law" There is an odor of Martial Law and "Continuity Of Operations Planning ()COOP". As a former plans officer, I know something about that--there has been such a plan in existence for many years. I don't want to read anything more sinister into the EO but it will be interesting to see if the 10 "Governors" somehow coincide with the existing 10 FEMA Regions (that COULD be ranamed "Military Districts". I have a Cousin in NC who works in the Emergency Preparedness business for the State. I have sent him the EO and asked if he knows anything he can share. I'll share what I learn on the Blog.

That was my suspicion. I think everyone should see the documentary I saw yesterday. For example, they spoke of the importance in the case of nuclear fallout of "sheltering in place". The tendency would be for parents to rush off to get their kids from school, but it is far safer to leave the children there until radiation levels are lower. It was very informative.

By the way, apparently a 5 pound weight loss in one day due to loss of fluids is NOT SUSTAINABLE! The weight comes back once you're rehydrated.

Dawn, I could be wrong, but I think the purpose of Shadow’s blog was an excuse to link the Obama name with Hitler’s for the purpose of creating a dramatic effect. If you use your imagination and listen carefully while reading his post, you can actually hear a symphony orchestra playing Wagner in the background.
