Global Warming is destroying the World

Or at least that is what the Alarmist wants you to believe.

This winter is shaping up to be one of the Coldest since the 1977-78 winters. That winter, nearly all of the United States east of the Rockies had a cold October followed by a warm November, with the cold returning in December. Which was what we had..

This winter has already been rough for many areas of the country, with several blizzards dumping high accumulations of snow upon the Plains, mid-Atlantic and New England.

“Temperatures have not been this low since the winter of 2002-03, which is known as the benchmark for frigid conditions in the last decade. However, that year the cold was not as widespread as what is happening now”. Senior Expert Meteorologist Alex Sosnowski

Snow covers Britain from head to toe

Britain suffers coldest night as freeze deepens
By Mirror.co.uk, January 8, 2010
Britain’s big freeze deepened today after the snow-bound country suffered its coldest night of the winter so far.

UPDATE: 2009 Another Normal Year in the U.S.

“Back at the end of October, we gave you all a preview of what how the U.S. average annual temperature was shaping up for 2009. At the time we postulated that we were headed for another pretty normal temperature year (on the heels of 2008’s pretty normal temperatures). Now, after the 3rd warmest November on record was followed by the 14th coldest December, the final numbers for 2009 are in and we were pretty much right on the button.
The annual average temperature for the U.S. in 2009 was 53.13°F, just a smidgen above the long-term (1901-2000) average. This now marks two years in a row in which the U.S. annual average temperature has returned back to normal after its recent 10-yr stint in the much above normal category.
Now we await 2010.
It shouldn’t take too much longer before we can come to the determination that the 1998-2007 warm periods was more a part of natural variability than a sign of anthropogenic climate change”. World Climate Report

“The obvious response to these claims is that if we cannot predict weather features such as the Arctic oscillation or an El Niño under current climate, how can anyone credibly claim we have predictive skill decades into the future from both natural and human caused climate forcings? The short answer is that they cannot.” Climate Science

Bundle up folks this Winter is just beginning and it looks to be a cold one..

As the carbonunit orbits the sun with the rest of you, a few orbits of contemplation yielded the following wonderment: is the Tea Party Movement (TPM) a new form of anthropogenic climate change that needs to be factored into the calculations? This very cold spell that we are experiencing is making me wonder if the TPM is, in effect, an endothermic reaction, absorbing heat in much the same way that hurricanes do, but where hurricanes produce winds, the TPM is producing noise and fluster, and not a few intellectual ideas.

Sensors did not detect a question. The Tea Party Movement as a climate change engine is just a whimsical notion, or not.

Is playing havoc on my propane bill.

Hey... 4 months ago your terminology was "global warming". Now it is "climate change". Whut's shakin' with that dude?

I feel your propane pain dude. Now listen up, you just might learn somethin: all global warmings are climate changes, but not all climate changes are global warmings. A fart in church would be a climate change, which no one can deny.

Even better come-back.

Just musing here this morning.... Here is a goody from the creator of both the internet and global warming:

In the spring 1998 - Al Gore called The Washington Post's executive editor to tip him off on an ''error'' in the paper. ''I decided I just had to call because you've printed a picture of the Earth upside down on the front page of the paper,'' Gore said.

I didn't know there was a 'up' and 'down' in space.Puzzled (chuckle)

No up or down? C'mon Git, why do you think Australia is referred to as "Down Under"?

There is no ''up'' in space; only on maps that orient the Earth's surface north and south.

Goodness...we're going to have to get Muddles to sort all this out for us. By the time he get's through.... we'll be convinced... just asleep in his class. Eye-wink

If you were in space and your view of the earth had the south pole on top, would you:

a) Feel that you were upside down?
b) Feel fine but think you were upside down?
c) Feel fine and right side up but think that the earth was upside down?
d) Think and feel that the "whatever" is the most accurate description?

I would choose the answer I grasped from the great teachings of our resident professor and in the end, pick 'd'. Whatever. Smiling

One just wonders why intelligent persons who are successful and contributing citizens feel the need to continually denigrate others. I think, speaking for myself, that it is easier to give a quick negative retort than to engage in meaningful conversation. I know that it is really hard to live up to my resolution not to denigrate a fellow blogger - and it's only the 9th day of the new year!! Oh well - God is not through with me yet. Sad (. . and the exercise of trying to do better is helpful!!)

I could not quite determine if you were referring to Git or me, then it occurred to me that we both qualify. On this subject, I was asking for it, and brother Al sets himself up too often to ignore.
