Democratic Leaders Plan Secret Health Reform Deliberations

The Talking Points Memo website reported Monday that Democrats in both the House and Senate are saying the process will likely follow the path of the House taking up the Senate-passed legislation, amending it and sending it back to the Senate, which will have to pass it again. "This process cuts out the Republicans," a House Democratic aide told TPM, indicating the congressional majority intended to make sure the Republican minority would "not have a motion to recommit opportunity."

for revealing the fact that a lot things are said during a campaign that are.......well, that are just meaningless or in other words, just lies. Well, isn't this so revealing. I would like to think that her constitutes are listening.

This is going to be bounced back and forth by Pelosi and Reid and what we see in Feb that Obama is going to sign will be nothing like what we have seen over the last year...

They are going to cram this down our throats and we can just choke on it for all they care.

"This process cuts out the Republicans," said a House Democratic aide. Republicans will "not have a motion to recommit opportunity"--a procedural trick the minority can use to scuttle legislation in the House at the last minute.

This is Politics 101. What would Newt do/(did) if the situation was reversed? The Republicans have made it quite clear that they are not going to vote for this bill - regardless that many Republican recommendations are included in the bill. This is pushing more Republicans to the Independents or the Tea Party.

So much for telling the truth to the American people. This is just another example how you cannot trust anything that Obama says. He's nothing but a liar.

What would you do if those with whom you want to 'cooperate' with have made it QUITE clear that their only interest is to see you fail? Would you keep trying at the expense of the American people in regards to reforming healthcare in our country? He made an earnest effort - and the Republicans have stood firm. They are not going to cooperate. Life goes on.

The majority of Americans do not want the democrat version of healthcare reform to pass, and Obama is still and incompetent liar.
