I'm a little concerned!

Today is Sunday (according to the Romans)It was them wasn't it?
No matter, one of the seven days in a week is Sunday---or is it? What is a true week? What does the Bible say---seven days isn't it? What was a day?

Anyway, our congress and our President are in session and working today!
Wouldn't that be wrong? (yes, say the right wingers).
We apparently are also fighting invisible targets in Afghanistan and Iraq today, Sunday (not for them). I never see them shoot at a terrorist).
Isn't that wrong.

Heck, the airport is open and flying like crazy, Even Kroger is open (not for wine and beer). A semi-infraction).

I noticed the cops and firemen are on duty this morning. Do some violate the law on Sunday, and do the firemen pull oxen out of a ditch on Sunday? That's wrong isn't it?

The traffic on the roads and highways is dense----on their way to church, I suppose.

Was that Mall and strip center open that I just passed? No, it couldn't have been--it is Sunday.
The doctor's offices and the government offices here aren't open---good for them. Weren't open yesterday either.

It just concerns me as to what is and what ain't! Not any kind of pills or sauce, either.

Usually I'm in my church at this time. (Out of town today - and observing what others do when I'm in 'church'.) I was taught that what happens on Sunday can happen anytime of the week: prayer, companionship, respecting others, sharing, loving, communicating with a higher being. Those who think that it is disrespectful if one does not do this only on Sunday concern me also. That's a convoluted sentence - but I think you get the point.

But can what happens on week-days also happen on Sunday is the question---not the reverse!

that no matter of the day of the week, you will be there with your silly comments and your tightly wound cloak of indignation. Perhaps you should change your stool softener. You seem somewhat constipated.

What was silly? My cloak of indignation? How so?
I don't know what constipation has to do with cloaks of indignation---maybe silly comments! If there were any.

I have always found that people who say something is silly means that they either don't understand it or don't know what to say!

Tell me, should we pull our ox out of a ditch where it has been gored by a bull, on Sunday, or wait until Monday? If so, isn't anything of non-rest done on Sunday wrong?
I think that we make up our own individual mind as to what we will or won't do on Sunday---right or wrong. That makes 7 billion humans the judge of each incident coming their way, doesn't it? And, is Sunday in China the same as here?

Or, does trying, part-time, to do right count toward brownie points?
I know---that is all so silly!

My point, I think, is that the behavior exhibited (supposedly) on Sunday should be exhibited during the entire week. I think we're on the same page - I just feel that it's a little hypocritical to deny people their choice of activities because it's Sunday.

Not sure when Sunday is! The current average year length of 365.242222....days (within 2 seconds of the mean tropical year) means that Sunday moves around!

The revised Julian Calendar is our current timekeeper but it needs a "leap year," to even try to stay consistent.

All this means that the vernal equinox is always incorrectly named.
What is our fascination with time anyway?

It can pose problems however if for instance the Chicago statue of the Virgin Mary doesn't weep on December 6, but several days later if an old calendar is used! That would make Christmas on January 7 also.
That would certainly screw up a lot of sales and parties!

I guess we would be just as correct if we just picked a day for everything and used that until we changed it!

Yup! (I think)Smiling

Anywho - today was/is a terrific football day!
