Haddix whining!

In an effort to learn something about this candidate’s platform, I tried visiting his advertised donhaddix.com site. Unless I’m doing something wrong, this site reflects: “This account has been suspended. Please contact billing/support department ASAP.” I did locate DonHaddix.blogspot.com and see a nearly month old post (same as posted in The Citizen) where he complains about the current announced city candidates having an orchestrated agenda, how he’s scared to be elected into a “minority position”, how a council candidate being friends and or acquaintances with current city politicians must be a bad thing. In a negative way, he even brings a candidate’s family onto the campaign trail and hints that two people exchanging pleasantries somehow indicates they are practically kinfolk. Maybe Haddix should spend more time on his platform and less on his paranoia?

I don't give a rat's rear about his whining. I don't care if he starts crying. But for Pete's sake, Haddix needs to stop spending!!!

Don't cry about Harold Logsdon, Mr. Haddix, when you're throwing more city employees into the mix and pushing us for more sales taxes. 2010 is not a very good year to be asking for more cart path money, duh.

As far as Scott Rowland, who is the ghostly candidate? Has anyone ever heard of this guy?

Vote Republican

Believe me, I know 2010 is going to be bad. I know we are going to have less income to pay for the city even if we get the SPLOST. I am not going to continue the practices of the past that have put us in the position of constantly spending more than we have. But neither can anyone fix it all overnight.

Tell me what you want cut, understanding I will not cut fire, police or code enforcement. Tell me which you want, fewer police on patrol with fraud investigated during a time when crime is increasing or no fraud investigation and the same level of patrol on the street when fraud is our fastest growing crime?

Tell me if you want to stop trying to repair the paths and let them deteriorate.

That is the realities we are looking at. Either fund the needs or cut services. Tell me which you want. The voters make the decision on SPLOST this year. Next year the property tax payers will be asked what the want if SPLOST is rejected and I will vote accordingly.

But as of now to fail to act will push us a lot deeper into a hole we need to get out of. The can has been kicked down the road too many times.

I have pushed and gotten more cuts than I have asked for in the .244 increase. A lot more. But faced with the current majority positions on issues this is the best answer I can find to get us out of this Council and into the next.

The only thing I know about Rowland is he is a 30-31 year old Financial Adviser working in Atlanta. Never heard of him before he declared.

November could be his swan song! I seriously suggest looking into information on Scott Rowland. I think he could just be the "fresh blood" that this city needs! He understands money. That is way more than any of the other people who are running for mayor can say!
