Ground Breaking for new Student Center – Sunday July 19th 2009

On Sunday, July 19, New Hope Baptist Church broke ground at their South Campus to mark the start of construction for their new 5,800 square foot Student Center. Senior Pastor Rhys Stenner prayed and dedicated the ground and then climbed into a tractor to officially dig the first hole to get construction started.

The project will provide a new 200 seat student auditorium, a student lounge and game room, along with new offices and restroom facilities. A new café area is also being provided to link the existing church facilities to the new addition. This will include an external seating area with a fire pit. The construction is scheduled to last approximately nine months with the opening due at the end of April 2010.
